Thai By 3 Monkeys

I recently had the chance to visit Thai By 3 Monkeys, a Thai restaurant in North Adelaide offering a range of delicious dishes in a casual and relaxed environment. Read on to hear about my experience.

The Where and what

A staple of the bustling O’Connell street restaurant precinct, Thai By 3 Monkeys (as the name suggests) offers diners a range of flavour-filled Thai food options that are also reasonably priced. These include some ever-popular noodle and rice dishes such as Pad Thai and Chilli Basil Fried Rice, along with curries and stir fries.

Once you get there, street parking is available out the front and a short walk to the building. Also, other parking options available if you need, all of which helps make finding a spot nearby easier.

The food

For my visit, I opted to get the Pad Thai (like I said, always a popular choice), pictured above. All at once it was both light and refreshing while also being substantial and satisfying. With delicate flavours, silky smooth noodles, and just the right amount of crunch from the peanuts it was a reminder of why this is a favourite.

The mix of textures created a dish that was equals parts delicious and well balanced. Also, with ample serves of chicken and tofu, it made for a filling meal.

The atmosphere

Thai By 3 Monkeys had an extremely warm and welcoming atmosphere, as a result of the friendly service offered by the team behind the counter.

Adding to the comfortable feel was the decor used at the venue. With an eclectic mix of 1970s and 1980s furniture, dining in almost felt like stepping back in time in the best possible way.

Until next time,

Louis
